GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. International Association for the
Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) Estonian National Group (ENG)
is a non-profit society (further "Group") that is formed on
grounds of voluntary membership.
2. The Group is a non-profit legal entity
subject to private law. The legal capacity of the Group is established as
it is entered into the register of non-profit societies and foundations,
and is terminated by deletion from said register. The Group has been
founded for an undefined period.
3. The Group has its own assets, a bank
account, foreign currency accounts as foreseen by legislation and other
regalia.
4. The territory of the Group's activities
is the Republic of Estonia. The board of the Group is seated at Kaupmehe
8, 10114 Tallinn, which is to be considered the address of the Group.
5. In its activities the Group is guided by
the legislation in force in the Republic of Estonia, the present statutes
and the decisions made by members at general meetings.
THE AIMS OF THE GROUP AND MEANS FOR
REACHING THOSE AIMS
6. The aims of the Group are:
6.1. participation in the activities
related to the legal protection of intellectual property in the Republic
of Estonia;
6.2. participation in the examination and
comparison of international legislation as carried out by AIPPI, with the
aim of establishing the possibilities for improving and unifying the
intellectual property protection legislation in different countries;
6.3. to relay members topical information
on various trends of developments of the legal protection of intellectual
property;
